Blu, I talked to friends of ours in Dallas today. They said they were at 18 degrees and it was going to get colder. They also were setting up the times they were coming to stay with us later this month. Today was definitely a gray, overcast winter day....high was only 70. ( I'm HOPING our winter is gone for the year with no more days below 60 degrees. Note that NYCGayCop is fleeing the north for sunny Florida.....Maybe more of those Nawthenes should follow suit!

Well, let me tell you Bluepirde, that handsome woman reminds me of Sr. Mary Whackumbutts, the terror of my fifth grade glass. Come to think about, that one picture can explian soooo much about me...lol. Well, let me tell you priders and pridettes, i'm not wearing my short, short boy shorts today. NOOOOOO! Old man winter is throwing a big hizzy fit, he's being a very cold b*t*h. It's definitely a two pantyhose, under amour leggin, and boxer brief with fuzzy pouch day and night. What!,,, You never heard a police officer wear boxer briefs with a fuzzy pouch? As I write this, the freezing rain, snow flurries have been falling for about two hours now. All highways in Bexar County are now closed and the school closures are scrolling across the tv screen. So, spring is just a hope for today. We'll be out of the worse by tomorrow night. But for tonight, it's Baby, it cold outside. Mac.

Blu, I would say to heck with ya, but you are already living in Texas... Did I say that? Ya'll need to stop your whining now, ye hear! C'mon, -20 was a walk in the park for me up here in Minnesota. I have camped in colder. Maybe ya'll southerners need to invent something like a quarter, to call someone who cares. We had three feet of snow in the beginning of winter, I looked out my door and thought...SWEET!!! I love driving in this stuff, and it is cuz I get to whip a lot of sh*tties! It is all about perspective mah man!

Who's whinning.... I got the day off because of the ice. ;D One must realize that in South Central Texas, anything below 68 is cold and rarely does it ever get down below 32. 110 at 90 percent humidity... not a problem. Sweaty Men.. mmm 17 with freezing ice , snow, ... Big Big Big Problem. Cowboys in them tight Wranglers or Levis, Stetson or Ristol Cowboy hats, and Luchasse boots, throw in an after five shadow on the face....Priceless HOT! ;D Let's rodeo San Antonio...Yeee Hawww It's going to be a beautiful day, Sunny, Cold, 34 by mid-day, the ice thrawing so things are begining to drip.. drip...HEY! ;D Best part of Winter here, it means April is around the corner and that means.... FIESTA!!!! Some may know what that means... Don't like Texas Young, not a problem, my family been here since the time of the Spanish Missons, Es Mi Tierra. Gracias El Senor. Mac

Ah, I dont have nothing on TX...except for the conservatism. Which I have plenty in MN. The only thing I don't like is the heat. 90 is too hot for me, I like my cold. I have so much fun in the snow. The good thing about colder weather, unlike warm weather where everything drips, things get harder...hey! I am talking about ice fishing and driving on ice! Your description sounds a lot like a redneck...LOL! I bet I could show ya'll a thing or two about driving on ice. I do it all the time. Have fun with the stupor bowl!!

We are so close to spring! the TC is supposed to be down to about 30 over the weekend, but compared to the past few weeks and the bitter cold, I will take 30 any day.

So I'm gonna kinda be a jerk now... so in a week I head up north to go camping in the middle of nowhere. I'm looking at the forecast, as I usually do when I go camping when I see nothing but rain for this week at camp...bummer right? When I look farther ahead for the beginning of my week I see... This return to camp will be much better than last because I will not be dealing with this... Now if only I could find one of these where I am going... I highly doubt it, since I'm going with boy scouts...why do I do this??

INFIREGUY911, you're in Scouting too?? What do you do?
I'm an ASM of a local troop. Joined in 2003, served as Troop Guide, and SPL. Made Eagle in 2005, became an ASM in 2008 and have been serving off and on for the last few years. I have also been to WoodBadge, I'm a proud Beaver no less!!!
I'm going to Many Point on Sunday...this is some of the things we'll be doing
Look's like fun, huh??
I've enjoyed being in Boy Scouts for some time, it is a great program and has a lot to offer its participants. Which is why I wish that national would open it up for more people. My perceptions are that the big wigs in national view it as "their" old school program. Scouting has changed in the last decade and immensely in the last couple years. It is becoming more modern and adapting to what appeals to youth now instead of what IT thinks youth should be more interested in.
I've told my unit that I identify as "Gay/bi" ...I don't care much for labels, after all we are who we are, regardless of labels. I've had several other leaders and a couple district people say, "we don't care." as long as I'm a willing and capable role model and leader, they are glad to have me.
