They've seen too much fake law enforcement on TV. You mean the stuff on t.v. isn't true and accurate? ? Hey, Jon, it MUST be accurate. Believe it or not I just read in the paper last week that your PD's favorite "temporary" officer, Erik Estrada, seriously wants to go into policing! Who knew?!? Maybe it was all that clean cut Hoosier air that he ingested (or maybe it's just something he ate).

Sir ... you've got that right regarding uniforms. While I admire the uniforms, how I look in them and how my fellow officers look, I do NOT have a fetish for them. They are simply part of the job. Is it no different; really, than business office attire (but I guess people have a suit and tie fetish)? As many of you know, I really do play on the leather side of the house, and there is a serious unoform fetush there. If I had a buck for evertime I've had to tell a guy that the uniforms stay at the station when I'm not on duty, and no I don't want to make an exception even for him, I could probably afford to retire, even in today's lousy economy.

Oh yeah, and flirty women on traffic stops; well if it's all just eyelashes and warm smiles and a little too obvious, I usually ignore it. If they combine that with some statement that implies guilt, or suggests an illegal action, well, gee that always gets written on the back of the original ticket that goes to court, in the complaintant block. The folks in trafffic court love that stuff.
