I agree with you Hoosiercop in that we should not rush to judge this cop. Several months ago, right here in Florida, an out gay cop faced similar charges. Only this time, it was from several people who didn't even know each other. the case is still pending. I do know that transgender hookers lie like rugs. You can't believe anything that comes out of their mouth on face value. I know of many times in the jails where they would lie about the officers. They would say things like "he came into my cell and raped me" "he stood there while other inmates raped me", "he took off my panties and touched me down there" "he felt my tits and asked me if they were real" Bla, bla, bla, All of these things proved to be false. I think we should just wait and see how this plays out. If this cop is guilty, they should hang him by his balls. But, my first instinct is not to believe the tranny, but to believe the officer.

I'm more inclined to believe the Police Officer rather than what I read in the newspapers. Even if there was a video involved. They only show so much and you never know what happened before the video began or when the cop was out of the range of the camera. And yes, perps tend to lie and say whatever they want to try to make the cops look wrong or bad. That's a given and a standard operating procedure for "perps" and other civilians. There were some recent incidents within the last week in different parts of the US where the cops actions are being scrutinized pretty severely and the reports on the news seem to condemn the actions of the officers. But again, it's usually open season on cops anyway, according to the media whether they admit it or not.
Naturally, I'd hope the Officer in this incident didn't do what was alleged. Every line of work has their share of bad apples and ours is no exception. But we do get painted with the broad brush, no doubt about that. But anyway, I hope the officer is innocent and cleared. And if he is, that the civilian is dealt with appropriately.

Denver Policemen Fired Over Antigay Beating Two Denver policemen have been fired for beating a gay man in 2009 and lying about the action captured on a surveillance camera. According to Reuters, in April 2009, Devin Sparks and Randy Murr detained Michael DeHerrera and his partner, Shawn Johnson, after Johnson was ejected from a downtown bar. The officers said that force was required to subdue the men, but a surveillance camera showed DeHerrera talking on a cell phone as Sparks tossed him to the ground and hit him with a metal rod. This is a video from this year's Homicide West Indian Day Parade. There were numerous shootings and two NYPD Officers were shot. Now.....the parade participants sauntered up to the cops and started grinding but the Cops (?) should've been professional and not taken part in the silliness. Yes, I know they're young guys but you have to remain professional. You can laugh and smile and joke with the paraders but you should never start engaging in sexually suggestive behavior. You have to remain above that. They should've been looking at the crowds instead of the paraders. And these dolts leave themselves unprotected. Their weapons are exposed and they are vulnerable. Is it such a stretch to not think that someone would grab a cop's gun or some other weapon he has? It's happened before. This video is quickly going viral and it may be taken down soon. These cops need some vacation time taken from them. If I, as a boss, saw this, I'd have to do something about it. And, by the way, where was their boss???

Well That certainly is a new community outreach initiative that I've never heard of...
You are right from a professional and tactical standpoint. There is nothing wrong with enjoying a parade and the festivities while on duty however there is a fine line between enjoyment and "enjoyment". When it comes to this it is the objectification of the women as sex objects and grotesque display of sexual ineptitude of the officers that crosses the line.

Wait a minute. You're not saying that the cops are objectifying and making these women sex objects are you??? Helen Keller can see that the women are self-made sex objects who saddled up to the cops and did the initial grinding. And yeah, the cops were wrong to reciprocate. They didn't go running up to the females. The females ran up to them and pushed their ample azzes into the cops. See it for what it really is and not what is politically correct to say, son. ;D

Oh my God !!! if I had not seen this video with my own eyes, I would not have believed it. As a person of Jamacian decent, I feel like I should hide my head in shame. Those cops are a disgrace to their shield and should be brought up on charges of bad conduct. I have been in the carnival in Trinidad and Jamaica and I have NEVER seen officers behave in such an outrageous way. The women in the video must have been out of their minds. I can't believe that West Indians could shame their culture by acting like dogs in heat. When I was a child, immigrants from the West Indies had to pass muster before they would be granted a visa to come to the United States. You had to be a person of good character. You had to have your finances in order and a sponsor, and a clean record before you could come here. Now, It seems that they let any cheap, gun toting, drug using criminal into the United States so they can shoot people in the carnival and do God knows what else. It's a shame, a damm shame.

No, I'm not saying that the officers were. I'm saying more in society in general. Every thing has become a sex object. You can't even mention things without getting a sneer from some sex craved maniac...
I understand the joy of the act but do we really need it as prevalent as we do today?? I'm no prude in any stretch of the imagination, it just seems that good taste went out the window a long time ago..

This is a video of one of the shootings from that day and night. This may be the one where the two cops are shot. I'm not sure right now. Sometimes you need a scorecard to keep up with the shooting incidents. (I'm glad I'm retired!) But the last guy, who is doing the shooting, gets his ticket punched by the responding officers.

True, Josh. I agree. I just thought you were putting all the blame on the cops here. The babes were the instigators, for lack of a better word. And get this: The Commissioner was interviewed on the news earlier today. He said the incident is being looked at but that sometimes people (meaning the cops) sometimes get caught up in the excitement of the parade. He was pandering to the West Indian community, because that's what he does. But.....I still think these cops are gonna get one up their asses. (Don't you love our NYPD lingo???!!! ;D )
By the way...the above shooting is something that happens every day in Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens and other areas of NYC. I dealt with that sh*t for soooo many years. Carroll can tell you.

And here's the kicker.....thinking about this entire situation....even though I think the cops were wrong to get caught up in all of this, since the commissioner is downplaying it as much as he is.......Now.....these cops shouldn't be disciplined in any way, shape or form. I'm sure they've taken a lot of heat since Labor Day. And since the big cheese is not (apparently) making a big deal of it, then the cops should just learn from this and move on to the next.....whatever the "next" is.... Just my opinion.....

No one deserves to be killed over something like "texting" but, then again, in a movie theatre is no place to BE texting. Take it outside. The light from hose damned phones is just as disturbing to others as is chatter. Maybe it'll be a warning to others who do the same. If the Captain had merely hauled off and socked him in the chops, I'd vote for acquital of the assault charges. [Maybe it's just generational.]

The report was that the theater was not sold out, so why not find another seat, where the other patron isn't as much of a bother? I'm all for right to carry, but this isn't what it was designed to be....

I get annoyed when i see people texting at the most inappropriate times....like driving....crossing the street, at family gatherings and a lot of other situations. Who knows what triggered this incident? (No pun intended) Something made this guy lose it and I don't make any excuses for him. Yes he should've moved to another seat for sure. Now his life is ruined and someone is dead. And another is injured and has suffered a great loss. I wonder what the ex-Captain's reaction would be if he was still active...or... wasn't involved and it was an off-duty cop who did the shooting? Definitely not our finest hour.
