As a retired CJ professional and retired psychiatric nurse, I HONOR our own new member Icepride for giving us the heads-up on the petition for allowing LGBTs to donate blood. Along those lines, the National Resource Center on LGBT Aging continues to champion the effort " So That Knowledge Gets Better With Age." The NRC has just released a new comprehensive guide for aging service professionals... Inclusive Questions for Older Adults: A Practical Guide to Collecting Data on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity. This helpful publication, available free of charge, offers a range of tools and tips on asking questions about sexual orientation and gender identity to older adults in safe and respectful ways. THANK YOU, Admin, for moving LEO and LGBT Health to the right puka (Hawaiian for "hole" - as in puka shells.) ;D I messed up with the wrong category. I'm OLD, ya know... but DARN I'M CUTE! Extra cookies n milk for our esteemed Almighty Ruler! (wagging his awesome, fluffy tail,) Bear ___________________________________.

Thanks for spreading the word Bear.
I experienced the discrimination personally when I tried to give blood a few years ago. One of my most humiliating experiences!
I just hope change comes sooner than later.
