Hey Admin. The weathermans name is Justim Mosley. He is on TV in Sarasota and Venice. He is quite the queen(in the closet of course). Still, I feel bad for him. I hate cockroaches and might have had the same reaction.

Had to post this video that I just saw. A guy holds a gun to a Texas Trooper's throat. The Officer manages to get to his gun, while grabbing the gun at his neck. He and his partner blast shots at the perp and by the grace of God, remain uninjured. Real life. www.filecabi.net/video/throutcop13.html

Hey Bluepride. These videos remind us of just how dangerous our work really is. At least those of us who work in correction already know who the bad guy is. When we go to work, we are in a closed, secure environment. The inmates don't run the facility, we do. We understand their motivation, how they think, and the games they play. When a cop pulls over a car, they don't know if the guy is going to pull a gun, or try to sell them a Bible. It requires two different sets of skills to work in the street, or in a jail. Oh, we both have our cop/jail war stories. But they are not the same. When a cop responds to a domestic dispute, a woman may shoot him because he is arresting her husband for beating her up. When we suit up for a cell extraction, an inmate may come quietly or try to stab us with a shank. The settings are not the same, but the danger is always the same. Either way you look at it, we have to keep our eyes open. We can't get complacent or loose focus on what we are doing. It could cost us our life. Let us all remember that our family, friends, and most of all our partners want us to come home safe and sound at the end of the day. So head up guys. Stay safe and remeber...
YOU NAIL THEM, WE JAIL THEM

Wow! Also that shows how hard it can be to hit your target when you are in a real gunfight. With all those rounds the troopers popped off, I'd think one of them would have hit the guy.

Bluepride, the taser is really a great form of a non lethal weapon. It was amazing to see how quickly that man complied. I hope that more weapons of this kind are developed in the future. But, we will always need our guns as the ultimate weapon. I'm just glad to know that the gun is not the only persuader in our arsenal.

I saw this video during my tasser training. Gives you some peace of mind that little weapon can prevent things from becoming serious and thus preventing injury or worse. But, if you are using the tasser, you must know it's not a cure all for every situation. If the bad guy is on drugs, notablely PCP, crack, etc... the pain tolerance is great with these people. It's very possible a person high on drugs will not feel the effects of the tasser. So always be on guard use it well with confidence but don't let your guard down.

Mike Carney from GOAL New England sent me this clip and it's hilarious! It's Ross The Intern from the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. In the clip, Ross is training with the Burbank Fire Department at their Fire Academy. I saw it over the summer on Leno's show and laughed my ass off! Not really sure if Ross is Fire Fighter material.........or is he One thing for sure....the fire isn't the only thing that's flaming in this clip!!!! ROSS THE INTERN AND THE FIRE ACADEMY

Little sh*t head got just what he deserved, but I don't think I'd want to be the one signing off on that Use of Force Report.
