Tommy, Don't I recall in an earlier thread about depending how your Mets did that you would be coming down to Florida for the Sawmill retreat? ? If the cabins are booked I can still offer you a room and you can visit daily! (Don'tcha hate when stuff is put in writing)

At least the Muts are getting an early jump on their vacations! Tommy, you should go get a Phillies tattoo now to commemorate the thrilling pennant race! Oh, and by the way...... GO CUBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, I'm back from the bridge and decided not to jump!! I'm fine but still mad and the collapse of my team. I'll get over it. Next season can't come soon enough.

I was surprised that the Cubs got swept but Arizona had a good team all year. As did Chicago. I'd hate to be in Lou Pinella's way last night after the game. I was hoping the Cubbies would do better and at least chip away to the NLCS. One reason I wanted it was that Cliff Floyd (an ex-Met) was on the team. If he was still a Met, things may have turned out differently for them this year. He's a great clubhouse leader and a good influence on the other players. I said all season that the Mets loss was the Cubs gain. And I'm personally glad that the Colorado Rockies swept the Philadelphia Phillies. I have no love for that club. "The team to beat" Oh yeah? Well guess what, Phillies? You got beat! And Colorado did what the Mets couldn't do. With the help of Kaz Matsui, another ex-Met who was disrespected and had a bad tenure in New York. But he absolutely shined in Colorado! Good for him! And now a message to all, from the Phillies dugout...

Hmmm ...
I wonder why cops are not equally paid for "F' ING - up" so brilliantly.
Maybe it says a great deall about "American" priorities?
Oh, yea ... "Shock and Awe !" Thast's what it's all about ... right?

I think it would be a good idea that if players show no effort or play in a lackluster manner, they be docked large portions of their salary. I've had that feeling for some time, but especally this season. Hit them in their enormous pockets and see how much better they produce.

I'm rooting for the Sox too! You're so lucky to be assigned to the games! Some day I'm actually going to go to a game at Fenway! I was on the warning track of Fenway in November 2005 a few hours beofre the GOAL NE Dinner. Me and maxwelldaemon "tinned" our way in while they were doing some construction there while we were walking around taking photos. It was great walking near the Green Monster! But even though I kinda like the Rockettes, I'm pulling for my Red Sox!! I'm wondering if any of the newer guys were playing at Pawtucket in June. I went to the game that was part of the Conference activities! It was cold as hell even though it was June! But it was still a good time! LET'S GO RED SOX !!

I guess I want the Rockies to win since they aren't supposed to. But I don't know if I'll watch any of it. I'm much more engrossed in the college football season now.
