Here's hoping that 2014 is better than 2013...and 2012....and 2011....and 2010....and 2009.

I wish only good things for our members in 2014. And I also wish for more sources of information for postings here. Some websites have shut down, scaled back their content or just became so lame that they're not even worth reading anymore. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed but there isn't much happening right now in the world of GLBT Law Enforcement. Newsworthy anyway. So for the interim, we just continue to interact with each other, gossip and yes, even "report" things that are going on in our respective locations and lives. That's not such a bad thing either, is it?
I'm going to be looking for more sites for information to bring here and I hope you folks do the same! A good cross section of varying content on the sites would be a good thing, I think. Let's make 2014 a good year for Blue Pride!

A belated Happy New Year! Let's hope 2016 is better than 2015 for many reasons. Most of all for security of this and other countries. I can't help being dead serious about the way things are in the world today. One thing I definitely don't do is wear the rose colored glasses that too many people do. I'm skeptical of our so-called leaders and I don't care who knows it or doesn't agree with me. One more year of this madness and then, hopefully a better change.
Anyway.....after being in warp speed regarding Christmas, shopping and other preparations, my body released the tensions I was having. In other words, the topsy turvy weather and everything else took it's toll on me and I got kinda sick! Not the flu or anything real serious. I just got headaches, body aches and felt like the bottom dropped out a bit. So I've been laying low, sleeping and resting a lot and taking it easy. But now I'm pretty much back in the saddle, so to speak! I was also, as always, pretty lazy! One thing I managed to get off my butt to do was adjust our banner to reflect the terrorist attack in San Bernadino. Plus, I rejected another potential new member due to not having enough info to properly vett him. Every once in a while I get member requests that seem bogus to me so I reject them right off the bat. This one, I wasn't sure about, so after a couple of days, I hit the "reject" button. Just wasn't in the mood to keep the process going.
Anyway, let's hope for a safe 2016. And please, don't let us have 131 LOD Deaths as we did in 2015. And let's preserve our rights as citizens, as LEO's and everything related. There are people out there who would do damage to us whether we're LEO, non-LEO, gay, straight and every other category. And they're not all outsiders or people we would think of. Some are within our own government. Remember that. People didn't heed the warnings a few years ago.... I did my homework years ago. That's all I'm gonna say on that!
