Holy Crap, Tommy! I've been watching the weather news. It's a blast furnace all over. Here at the end of June, even we are seeing August temps. It got up to a blistering 64 today! Sitting in my recliner doing schoolwork, I had to take off my sweater. NAUGHTY, NAUGHTY Bear!

Thought I would share a picture of me frolicking on the Cubby Hill ski slope outside behind the BluePride break room at the precinct... Bear

We had a dip to -40 on Saturday, it was weird, the temperature went down to -40 around midnight, by noon Sunday at -15. On Monday morning -3 those are all n Celsius except at -40, it doesn't matter

I know where you are coming from Greg. Yesterday it was 81 F and today after the rain came through last night, it only got up to 72 F. Almost had to change out of my shorts!!! (And you live up there because you want to??? Guess I'm too much of a wus.)

In MN we are sitting around the freezing mark which is wreaking havoc on our roads. BUT, if it gets a little colder this weekend when I go camping I will be sleeping outside.

It warmed up. Then it got cold again. Minnesota gets its cold days and your zero is 32 degrees F below ours.

(And you live up there because you want to??? Guess I'm too much of a wus.) Well I hate being hot, except in bunker gear. But that is transitory. In cold weather you could always snuggle up to someone or get a teddy bear (Ted was funny). Then the rest of it, if I were a cop....I'd be the guy they all complained about. Besides, for my sanity, I could not live in Florida. I hate humidity and I heard Tampa beats New Orleans for it. Of course that was a former Marine, maybe they couldn't tough it.

OH WOW... Tommy and Burner have now got to hunker down in a mountain of SNOW and gonad-shrivel-to-yur-throat COLD. I recall Burner in previous years telling about SHOVELING snow at a cabin or someplace they go. With this storm, I understand highways are CLOSED. Geez, guys, you really know how to have fun (NOT.)
Seriously, I also think about the LEOs on duty out there. Damn! Stay SAFE guys and gals!
I'm gonna go live with Carroll and Stephen where it's WARM.
Power is on and cots being set up in the BluePride break room. Warm cookies and other assorted bearkibble being served...

Yes....this sucks the big one but it could've been worse, I guess. My area is pretty well plowed by now but other areas, the more suburban areas are a mess. Hundreds of cars abandoned on the highways. People spent the night in some of their cars on these same highways and had to be rescued. People don't listen when they're told to stay off the roads for their own good. And, as always, it's the first responders who have to come and pluck them out of their pile of doo-doo that they themselves put themselves in. I'm just hoping that within a few days most of this snow will have melted away.
